Trade STORM - STORM Markets, Exchanges, Broker
Storm Coin is actually the short version of a collection of decentralized applications and functions, starting with "Storm" in its name. Storm Play is an app that allows users to access Storm Market, a distributed micro-task marketplace. This is managed by the StormX team already behind the Bitmaker app. In order to use Storm Market via Storm Play, users need Storm tokens, which will be sold during the upcoming crowdsales.
How the Storm ecosystem works
The Storm Marketplace is the core of the project and is supposed to be a kind of gamified freelance platform where "Makers" and "Players" meet to buy and sell tasks. In contrast to centralized platforms like Upwork, Fiverr or Amazon Mechanical Turk, Storm Marketplace runs independently and charges very low fees.
In contrast to the freelance platforms already mentioned, Gamification is a very important aspect of Storm's ecosystem. Makers post tasks on the market and players perform these tasks in exchange for various types of rewards that make the whole thing a fun experience.
How Storm Coin Works
Well, the developers don't go into the technical details that much, but they explain quite well their philosophy about how users should be involved with the Storm platform. First, the micro-tasks are not proposed to everyone who uses the service. The network chooses who is able to do what by relying on many parameters such as the user's personality and experience with identical or similar tasks.
Depending on whether a user is a performer, a disruptor, an explorer, a socializer, a philanthropist or a player, the platform will propose different types of tasks. The smooth running of the tasks is ensured by so-called "action loops". These are procedures to ensure that task assignments are relevant and that the user's transition to the master level is proper.
The features of Storm Coin
To influence the progress of its users, Storm uses "Bolts" as units of a rewarding system. Users can earn bolts by performing micro-tasks and training tasks to improve their skills. As experience increases, more micro-tasks are assigned to them. But their experience level on the Storm market is not bound to bolts, they are only a part of it. Users can use them to get boosts:
In Storm Market, Storm players can use their bolts balance for boosts. Boosts give the Storm player access to more micro-tasks for a while.
This is a very interesting and innovative concept. It looks like an inverted Fiverr mixed with an RPG. Users apply for a "job offer", they earn money and it's fun. Blockchain technology provides a safe, fast and affordable environment for everyone.
The team behind Storm Coin
The team supporting the Storm project is pretty solid. Among the leading and technical staff there are very experienced people who are already working in the crypto industry. The team believes that you will have no problem bringing the smart contract technology to the gamified micro-task idea.
But the most amazing thing is the advisory board, which reunites the big names of the crypto ecosystem. Among them are Anthony Di Lorio, founder and CEO of Jaxx and Decentralized, Guy Benartzi, co-founder of Bancor, Jeff Pulver (pioneer of VoIP) and some well-known players in the investment and banking industry.
The Storm Coin Roadmap
This is the weak part of this project. The global roadmap seems to have been omitted, so it cannot be found on the website or in the whitepaper.
